    It's always good to carry a spare filter, especially if you're going on a long camping trip and you will be relying on your MSR
    MiniWorks EX filter to provide you with a reliable source of water.  However, the problem I've found was that it's a little inconvenient carrying the box containing a spare filter, or even carrying the filter without the box. There's always always that chance you might bump it the wrong way and crack the ceramic filter rendering it useless.  I designed this case to alleviate most of those problems by making a hard outer case to protect the ceramic from cracking.
